PTSD is fairly common among sexual assault victims with one study showing that roughly 70 of sexual assault victims experience significant levels of trauma with 45 reporting symptoms of PTSD. Brain damage or brain injury occurs when the brain cells known as neurons are destroyed.

There is no connection between PTSD and epileptic seizures.
